What are the available payment methods?

You can pay using PayPal or Credit Card. We offer two payment methods for the convenience of our students:

1. Monthly Subscription: Your tuition fee will be charged once every four weeks at the beginning of the billing cycle on the same day every month as the day you started paying for your plan. After the payment is processed, you will receive an automatic payment notification.

2. Month Over Month: If you choose the month over month payment method, you need to manually send your tuition fee every four weeks. Our system will send you a reminder email three classes before the current month ends, asking you to pay for the next month’s fee. Once we receive your payment, your class schedule for the following month will be confirmed.

Please remember to keep track of your payment schedule and pay on time to avoid any inconvenience or schedule confusion.

How much is the tuition fee?

Most of our programs offer flexibility in scheduling, allowing students to choose class durations ranging from 30 to 60 minutes or even longer. Tuition fees are calculated based on the total number of hours per billing cycle and start from 12 USD per hour for one on one classes and 7 USD per hour for group classes.

The Five Fortresses program charges a fixed monthly fee and offers class durations of approximately 2 hours, which may vary depending on the number of students in the class.

To ensure the continued quality of education at Almahir Quran Academy, periodic tuition fee increases may be implemented for all enrolled students.

Is it safe to add my Credit Card details?

Absolutely! We are committed to providing a safe and secure payment experience for our students.

– We use PayPal and Stripe as our payment gateways, which are reputable companies that have extensive security measures in place to protect your payment information.

– Both PayPal and Stripe use industry-standard encryption technology to secure your credit card details and prevent unauthorized access.

– In addition, our website is SSL certified, which means that all data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted and cannot be intercepted by third parties.

– To further protect your payment information, we recommend that you use a strong password and keep your computer and software up-to-date.

What is Almahir Quran Academy privacy policy?

Almahir Quran Academy places great importance on the privacy and safety of our students. We have a strict privacy policy in place to protect the personal information of our students. Under no circumstances do we share or sell any student information to third parties.

As part of our policy, students are responsible for keeping their profile information up-to-date. This includes updating their email address, billing address, phone number, and other relevant details. If any changes need to be made, students can contact our support team via email to update their profile information.

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment, it is important that students do not share any personal information or account details, such as email and social media accounts, unless communicating through our official email. It is our responsibility to protect the privacy of our students, and we expect all students to comply with our policy.

What are the rules for attendance?

–        Students are required to join the classroom a few minutes before the teacher.

–         The teacher will be present in the classroom at the scheduled start time of the class.

–        If a student doesn’t show up on time, then the teacher will send a reminder to the student, and if the student still does not join within 15 minutes of the class, it will be considered an unexcused absence, and the class will not be rescheduled.

–         If the class starts late due to a student’s delay, it will still end at the scheduled time.

Please notify us immediately if the teacher is not present in the classroom at the scheduled start time of the class to address the issue instantly.

What happens if a class is cancelled due to a teacher’s absence?

-In the event of a teacher’s absence leading to class cancellation, in most cases, a substitute teacher will be arranged. However, if no substitute is available, a make-up lesson will be scheduled at the student’s convenience within one week, without any extra charge.

-The substitute will use the teachers’ same classroom and teach the class, according to the academy instructions. 

Excused & Unexcused Absences:

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes unless they have a valid reason for their absence. If a student is unable to attend a class, they should provide a minimum notice of 12 hours by email to support@almahir.ca, or directly by contacting our support team.

Excused absences are allowed for reasons such as illness, family emergency, appointments, schedule conflicts, national holidays, and technical issues.

The number of excused hours allowed per month is determined by the student’s plan, as follows:

    – 4 hours per month plan: 1 hour per month excused

– 10 hours per month plan: 1.5 hours per month excused

– 12 hours per month plan: 2 hours per month excused

It’s important to note that missed classes cannot be rescheduled for the following month, and there will be no refunds or credit for missed classes.

Unexcused absence: This refers to missing a class without prior notice or without a valid reason. In such instances, the academy may not be able to reschedule the missed class, and no refunds will be given.

Can Students reschedule their classes?

 If you have 1:1 classes and a valid reason for an excused absence, such as medical reasons, family emergency, schedule conflicts, national holidays, or technical issues, you are permitted to reschedule your classes.

However, if your class is a group class, rescheduling may not be possible due to the nature of the group class. However, the class recording will be uploaded to the class dashboard within a couple of hours and made available for all students to stay on track.

To reschedule a class, the academy requires a minimum of 12 hours’ notice through WhatsApp or by contacting a support team member directly or by email(support@almahir.ca). Classes can be scheduled at any time during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and the academy will try to accommodate preferred dates and times.

What is the holiday and vacation policy at AQA?

We value your presence at our academy and strive to provide you with quality education throughout the year. Almahir Quran Academy(AQA) observes two holidays, Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, during which the academy will be closed for three days each. Please note that classes scheduled during these holidays will not be refunded or credited. Regular classes will continue as usual during other Western or non-Islamic holidays such as New Year’s Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

 If a student needs to take time off for any other reason besides the three days of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, they must inform the academy at least 12 hours in advance, and up to two classes can be rescheduled.

To maintain the same class schedule with the same teacher after a long  absence, AQA requires at least one month’s notice and payment of a half-monthly fee. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we aim to accommodate our students while ensuring the best possible learning experience for all.

How about my classes during Ramadan?

We encourage all students to continue their classes during Ramadan, However, if any student has concerns related to continuing during Ramadan, we urge them to reach out to us. Our team will collaborate with the student to create a strategy that suits their requirements and commitments. We advise against discontinuing classes for an extended period since it can result in forgetting previously learned material, disrupting the current schedule, and possibly changing their teachers. Students may request modifications to their class schedule to accommodate their needs during Ramadan. Additionally, they can approach their teacher to minimize their homework load.

How to maintain a successful teacher-student relationship and a professional class environment?

To ensure a secure and professional learning environment for all students, we have established the following guidelines for teachers and students:

– Both teachers and students must maintain a professional and respectful atmosphere at all times.

– Classroom conversations should be limited to topics related to the class to maximize class time.

– For security purposes, teachers and students are not allowed to communicate or conduct classes outside of the Almahir Quran Academy for any reason.

– Teachers are strictly prohibited from requesting personal information, favors, or gifts from students. Students should politely decline such requests and report them immediately to the Academy.

– Any incidents of teachers taking advantage of their teacher-student relationship in any way must be reported immediately.

We expect all students and teachers to abide by these guidelines to ensure a secure and professional learning environment.

Can students give gifts to their teachers?

While we appreciate the kind gesture of students wanting to give gifts to their teachers, we have a policy regarding gift-giving. Due to the risks involved in sending and receiving physical gifts to Egypt, we cannot accept them. Instead, monetary gifts can be sent via E-transfer, with the teacher’s name specified. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Can students cancel their subscription any time?

 Absolutely! We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and students may need to take a break for various reasons.

To cancel your subscription, simply fill out the cancellation form. Once we receive your request, we’ll process your cancellation and send you a confirmation email within 2-3 business days, insha Allah.
